Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the permanent campus of IISER Berhampur in Odisha's Ganjam district via video conference from Jammu on February 20. With 15 out of 29 buildings already completed at an investment of Rs 263.79 crore, the remaining construction is expected to be finished within the next six months.

The Maharashtra Legislative Council (upper house) unanimously passed the Maratha Reservation Bill tabled on Tuesday, which intended to extend 10% reservation to Marathas above the 50% cap. 

The Maharashtra Assembly passed the Maratha Reservation Bill for reservation in Education and Jobs today, February 20. Notably, the decision comes after the Maharashtra Cabinet approved the draft of the bill for 10 percent Maratha reservation in education and government jobs. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, February 20, said that Article 370 was the biggest hurdle in the development of Jammu and Kashmir. "The BJP government has removed it. Now Jammu and Kashmir is moving towards overall development. Because of the abrogation of Article 370, I have asked people to help BJP win 370 seats and NDA win 400 seats in elections," he added.
