Madhya Pradesh Couple Found Dead in Parked Car; Man Had Bullet Wound, Woman’s Throat Slit

A man and a woman were found dead inside a parked car in Madhya Pradesh's Ashoknagar district on Thursday, prompting police to investigate both murder and suicide angles. The victims, identified as Ritik Soni and Muskan, were residents of Ashoknagar.

According to police, Ritik Soni was found in the driver's seat with a bullet wound to his head and burn injuries on his face. Muskan, who was seated beside him, had her throat slit. Officials said forensic teams examined the scene and collected evidence.

Muskan Had Been Reported Missing

Police said Muskan's family informed investigators that she had left home on Wednesday afternoon to go to the gym but never returned. Ritik's family told police that he had returned to Ashoknagar from Indore around 15 days ago. Weapons and Mobile Phones Recovered

During the investigation, police recovered a pistol, a blood-stained axe and a cutter from inside the vehicle. Three mobile phones were also found nearly 50 feet away from the car.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and forensic experts are analysing the evidence collected from the scene.

Police Investigating All Angles

Preliminary investigation revealed that Ritik and Muskan had previously worked together at a private company in Indore. Police are examining their relationship and other possible motives as part of the investigation. "We are questioning relatives and investigating all possible angles. The exact sequence of events will become clear after the post-mortem and forensic reports," an official said.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths will be determined after forensic and post-mortem reports are received.
