It reportedly moved towards the animals, possibly looking for prey. The shopowner noticed the reptile before it could seize one of the goats. The unexpected sight quickly attracted people from the surrounding area.
Suresh, who locals identified as being heavily intoxicated, then approached the python. Despite the potential danger, he reportedly grabbed the reptile with his bare hands. The python attempted to free itself by coiling around Suresh's hand and constricting it.
It also reportedly bit Suresh's hand one or two times while attempting to escape. Pythons are non-venomous snakes, although their bites and powerful constriction can still cause serious injuries.
