Bidar is one of the Lok Sabha constituency out of the 28 constituencies in the Indian state of Karnataka. This constituency came into existence in 1962. Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Bhagwanth Khuba while the Indian National Congress (INC) has chosen Eshwar Khandre B for the General Election 2019. The Election Commission has declared April 4, 2019, as the last date of filing on nominations from the seats. In the general election 2014, Bhagwant Khuba from Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) won the seat by securing 4,59,260 votes. He defeated Indian National Congress(INC) candidate N Dharam Singh by a margin of 92,222 votes.

The 17th Lok Sabha election will be held throughout India from April 11, 2019. The polling will go on till May 19, 2019. The date of polls is divided into 7 phases. The result for each phase will be declared on May 23, 2019.
