Karnataka Cheif Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday claimed that more than 300 Income Tax officials are on their way to Bengaluru to carry out I-T raids. "More than 300 IT officials are on their way to Bengaluru, they may start raids tomorrow. It's vengeance politics by the central govt, we know it's happening because of elections, if they continue like this, we'll do what West Bengal CM did," he said.

New Delhi, March 27: In the run up to Lok Sabha Elections 2019, the  Congress on Tuesday declared three more Lok Sabha candidates from Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, Naresh N. Maheshwari will be the party candidate from Gujarat's Kutch and Dharmesh Bhimbhai Patel from Navsari, while Sanjay Kapoor has been fielded from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday kept out Murli Manohar Joshi from the list of candidates and instead fielded Uttar Pradesh Minister Satyadev Pachauri from Kanpur won by him in 2014. This comes days after denying tickets to party veterans L.K. On Wednesday, a Twitter India survey revealed that over 90 per cent of first-time eligible voters are expected to vote in the upcoming elections. According to the Election Commission, nearly 1.5 crore first-time voters will exercise their franchise in the seven-phase election starting April 11. Twitter India said that seven in 10 first-time eligible voters in India believe that they are contributing to the public debate by posting on Twitter.
