Identified as Sara Welch, she was reporting live for Los Angeles news channel KLTA on a fatal pursuit in South California. While doing that she had an unfortunate slip of the tongue. Reporting live from Anaheim Police Station, Welch told audiences that she had tried to contact a dead man for comment. The journalist can be heard saying, “We tried to reach out to the man who died in this pursuit, they were unavailable for comment.”

We are not sure from where the footage was originally aired. But the video quickly went viral. Despite the funny reactions, some pointed out that it was a genuine mistake and she likely meant to say that she tried to reach out to the man’s family, but got her words twisted.
