New Delhi, December 4: Amid widespread outrage over gangrape and murder of a veterinary doctor in Telangana, filmmaker Daniel Shravan has made some appalling statements as part of his "rape without violence" scheme. Daniel Shravan, in his detailed Facebook post that has now been deleted, advised women to carry condoms and "cooperate" with rapists to avoid violence. Shravan's outrageous suggestions drew sharp reactions with people calling for his arrest. Hyderabad Vet Rape and Murder Case: Jaya Bachchan Says Rapists Should Be Lynched in Full Public Glare.

"Rape is not a serious thing, but murder is inexcusable," Shravan wrote and then blamed society and women outfits for crimes against women. Calling rape better than murder, Shravan said that murder is a crime but rape is a "corrective punishment". He further suggested that the government should legalise "rape without violence" to control killings of rape victims. "No justice is going to happen with Nirbhaya Act," he wrote. Hyderabad Vet Rape and Murder Case: Victim's Name Trends on Porn Websites in India and Pakistan.

The agenda of rape is fulfilling the sexual needs of rapists based on that time or mood,” Shravan said in his Facebook post. The post boils our blood as it further reads, "If these adamant bitches didn’t consent to the proposal made by the rapists, they will have no other way but to rape them". After facing flak, he deleted all his posts on Facebook and posted a new message apologising for his comments.

Not just common men and women condemned Shravan's view, celebrities also came down heavily on the filmmaker. Sacred Games actress Kubbra Sait wrote, "Whoever this Daniel Shravan is: needs medical help, maybe some heavy duty whacks up his butt, will help him clear his constipated mind. Infuriating little prick (sic)."
