New Delhi, August 30: Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, who created a flutter within the party's Kerala unit while recently opining that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should not be "demonised" all the time, left Twitter confused with a cryptic tweet which has now been deleted. In what appeared to be an incomplete post, Tharoor used the caption "my h" while sharing an image of PM Modi addressing the Manorama News Conclave 2019.Ā Tharoor Takes Up Narendra Modi's Language Challenge With The Word 'Pluralism'.
Tharoor's tweet had evoked curiosity among his followers on the micro-blogging site, who began wondering what the Thiruvananthapuram lawmaker had intended to say. Many among them asked Tharoor whether he was praising the Prime Minister as "my hero".

It was intended to be āmy hope is that he meant itā but I incorporated that idea into another tweet. This was a case of pocket-dialling unfortunately. Hence I deleted it https://t.co/130CfZhkE1

Earlier in the day, Tharoor was among the first to respond to PM Modi's "language challenge", in which he asked the nation to post an indigenous language word daily on social media, along with its translation in Hindi and English.
"India is perhaps the only country in the world with so many languages. In a way it is a force multiplier. But language has also been exploited by selfish interests to create artificial walls in the country to divide," he said.
Taking up Modi's challenge, Tharoor posted the word "pluralism" on Twitter, along with its equivalent in Hindi and English.Ā Ā "I will tweet a word daily in English, HindiĀ and Malayalam. Others can do this in other languages," the Congress MP said.
