Samoa’s wicketkeeper-batter Darius Visser scored 39 runs off one over surpassing the previous record of 36 runs set by India’s Yuvraj Singh in 2007. Visser hit six sixes while Vanuatu seamer Nalin Nipiko bowled three no-balls taking the total to 39 runs in one over. at Garden Oval No.2 in Apia, Samoa. His side went on to win the match by 10 runs, scoring an impressive win over higher ranked side. Some of the highest runs scored in an over in T20I in the past are - Yuvraj Singh's 36 runs (against Stuart Broad 2007), Keiron Pollard's 36 runs (against Akila Dananjaya 2021), Dipendra Airee’s 36 runs (against Kamran Khan 2024), Nicholas Pooran’s 36 runs (against Azmatullah Omarzai 2024) and Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh combined 36 runs (against Karim Janat 2024).
