European Super League: Real Madrid, Juventus and Others Agree to Sign Up for New League, UEFA Opposes
In an astonishing move for European football, six Premier League clubs have agreed to join AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid for the European Super League. The ESL said the founding clubs had agreed to establish a "new midweek competition." However, apex football bodies UEFA and FIFA have opposed the new league.

UEFA, the English Football Association, the Premier League, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), LaLiga, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Lega Serie A have today released a statement.
