Rafael Nadal got the better of his first round opponent Rinky Hijikata and reached second round of the US Open 2022 today. The Spaniard held his nerve after first set defeat and claimed a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 to beat the 21-year-old Hijikata. Nadal will now face Fabio Fognini in the next round.
