DC Win By 1 Wicket | DC vs LSG Highlights of IPL 2025: Ashutosh Sharma's Sensational Knock Powers Axar Patel and Co to Victory

That's It! Ashutosh Sharma finished things off in style. Some sensational ball-striking from him and despite wickets tumbling at the other end, he didn't flinch and sealed things off. Strikes Shahbaz Ahmed down the ground over his head and with it clinches a memorable victory in the favour of Delhi Capitals. It didn't look like DC will be able to win the game but Ashutosh and Vipraj Nigam had some other plans. The fight from LSG was not enough. 

Out! Drama. Kuldeep Yadav hits a boundary in the first ball but misses the next two. Ashutosh Sharma tries to get on strike but Kuldeep cannot get to the other end. The game now relies entirely on Ashutosh. Kuldeep Yadav run out (Pant/Prince Yadav) 5(5).

Out! Wickets keep tumbling for DC now. With Mitchell Starc on the crease, the two spinners of LSG joined the attack, Digvesh Rathi and Ravi Bishnoi. Starc had no option but to take on Bishnoi and top edged it to the hands of Rishabh Pant. DC are down to their last reserves now. Mitchell Starc c Pant b Ravi Bishnoi 2(5).

Out! Digvesh Rathi strikes in the first ball after the strategic time out. The ball skids on to Vipraj Nigam's pads and he tries to flick it through fine leg, only to get a top edge which loops to the hands of fine legs hands. Some fantastic batting display from Vipraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma in the last three overs and they have brought back DC back in the game and in a position where they can win. Vipraj Nigam was the one who attacked the bowlers first and then Ashutosh joined in as well. LSG under pressure and Rishabh Pant needs some wickets here to slow the scoring rate down. 

Out! LSG strike back immediately after conceding two sixes back-to-back. Stubbs was taking on Manimaran Siddharth and the next ball he cleans Stubbs up. The ball was changed after the sixes and Siddharth got to turn the ball from leg-middle to beat Stubbs' defence and clean him up. LSG stay ahead in the game. Stubbs b M Siddharth 34(22).

They have un uphill task in hand but both Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs keep toiling hard to take the game deep. They have tried to cautiously handle the collapse here but the asking rate keeps going up. They will need a few boundaries to keep it in check. 

Out! Faf du Plessis departs too and DC's hopes are dwindling now. It was a ball in the radar of Faf and he went for it but the ball dipped in the last moment, making him miscue it. It was an easy catch down the throat of long on and LSG are comfortably on top here. DC have an extremely tough task in hand. du Plessis c Miller b Ravi Bishnoi 29(18).

Out! After the initial collapse, Axar Patel launched a counter-attack and stitched a partnership with Faf du Plessis. He hit some good shots and kept the scoreboard ticking. Although Axar tried a sweep in the last over of the powerplay and picked the mid-wicket fielder. LSG are ahead in the game now. Axar c Pooran b Digvesh Rathi 22(11).

Out! Delhi Capitals are falling apart like a pack of cards here. No respite for them. Manimaran Siddharth comes in the second over, extract turn and bounce from the wicket and Sameer Rizvi nicks one to the hands of Rishabh Pant behind the wicket. Out! Shardul Thakur is on fire here. Fantastic five balls with the new ball and he has scalped two wickets. This time Abishek Porel looks to go over the top over cover but the length is not the one where he could get under it. Out! Huge wicket upfront for Lucknow Super Giants. Shardul Thakur takes the new ball and gets one to swing upfront to fox Jake Fraser-McGurk and he miscues it straight to the hands of long-off. Good planning for LSG and they get the result.  Fraser-McGurk c Ayush Badoni b Thakur 1(2).

After a good batting performance, Mitchell Marsh has departed from the field and Manimaran Siddharth has come in as an impact sub. LSG will want his left arm spin to be effective in the powerplay. 

Finally some boundaries for LSG. After a very good first ten overs, they were cruising to a big total but Rishabh Pant's wicket followed by Nicholas Pooran's pushed them into a slump and they completely lost momentum. LSG kept losing wickets and it was only in the last over David Miller hit two sixes to Mohit Sharma to take the score over 200. DC will be happy to make a comeback here. 

Out! Mitchell Starc is relentless. Ravi Bishnoi steps out and charges at Starc but Starc uses the angle to keep it away from him and rattles Bishnoi's stumps. DC going strong at the death overs here. Ravi Bishnoi b Mitchell Starc 0(2).

Out! LSG can't break the pressure here. Shahbaz Ahmed hits a boundary but immediately after perishes to a Mitchell Starc bouncer here. Out! Lucknow Super Giants are collapsing here. Kuldeep Yadav is the key piece here. He dismissed Rishabh Pant and now he has kept the LSG players struggling against his spin web. Ayush Badoni goes for the wild slog and gets holed at the deep. David Miller and Shardul Thakur attempt a miscalculated run in the same over and Shardul ends up short of the crease. Out! Mitchell Starc it is who gives the most important wicket. Goes really full the ball tails a bit and Nicholas Pooran ends up playing across only to get his stumps rattled. Big wicket for DC as they will now look to control the scoring rate at the end overs. Pooran b Mitchell Starc 75(30).

Out! Rishabh Pant departs and some relief for Delhi Capitals. Pooran was going berserk as he completely demolished Tristan Stubbs in the previous over. Kuldeep Yadav returns to attack and foxed Pooran to stay quiet and Rishabh Pant hit in front to the long off fielder.
