Chasing a revised target of 131 as per DLS, India got the wicket of Travis Head (8) with Arshdeep Singh (1/31) being the bowler and Axar Patel (1/19) also got the better of Matthew Short (8). But Mitchell Marsh and Josh Philippe (37) steadied the innings with a 55-run partnership and the captain, along with Matthew Renshaw (21*), took the team past the finish line. Mitchell Marsh finished with an unbeaten 52. India will now look to bounce back in the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI 2025, which will be played at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide on October 23.
