India enters this fixture as the firm favourite after a clinical performance in the series opener. The batting unit, powered by Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 84 and Rinku Singh’s late-order fireworks, posted a mammoth 238/7. While the top order fired, the team management will be looking for more consistency from Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan, both of whom fell cheaply in the first game.

New Zealand, captained by Mitchell Santner, showed flashes of brilliance through Glenn Phillips (78) but ultimately struggled to keep up with the steep required run rate. The Kiwis are expected to adjust their bowling lengths on the Raipur pitch, which historically offers a bit more bounce than Nagpur.
