The 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season has been a historic one for batsmen. For the first time in the tournament's history, all 10 franchises have produced at least one centurion in a single season. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill is the latest to join this elite list, smashing a brilliant 104 off 53 balls against the Rajasthan Royals during Qualifier 2. The season has been historic, featuring the highest individual score by an Indian and the rise of 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.  IPL 2026 Points Table With Net Run-Rate.

Sooryavanshi scored his second-ever IPL ton, which was the third-fastest in the tournament, coming off just 36 balls, on a day veteran batter KL Rahul achieved his fastest hundred in 47 deliveries. Rahul remained unbeaten on 152, becoming the first Indian to breach the 150-mark.

Key Highlights of the Centurions

  • Abhishek Sharma (SRH): His unbeaten 135 against Delhi Capitals on 21 April remains the highest individual score of the 2026 season. He struck 10 fours and 10 sixes during his record-breaking knock.

  • Sanju Samson (CSK): Samson has been in sublime form, recording his 5th career IPL century this season. He made history by becoming the first CSK player to score a ton against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

  • Quinton de Kock (MI): De Kock achieved a unique 'journeyman' record by becoming the first overseas player to score an IPL century for three different franchises (previously DC and LSG).

  • Tilak Varma (MI): After a lean patch, Varma struck a magnificent maiden IPL century. He was notably on 19 off 22 balls before shifting gears to finish on 101* off just 45 deliveries.

  • Sai Sudharsan (GT): During his century against RCB tonight, Sudharsan surpassed Chris Gayle (48 innings) to become the fastest player to the 2,000-run milestone in IPL history.

KL Rahul (DC):  Rahul’s unbeaten 152 against Punjab Kings is the highest individual score by an Indian in IPL history. It also stands as the third-highest score in the tournament's overall history, trailing only Chris Gayle (175*) and Brendon McCullum (158*).

  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (RR): The 15-year-old scored a 37-ball century against SRH , which is the third-fastest century in IPL history (tied with Yusuf Pathan and Heinrich Klaasen). During this knock, he also became the youngest player to reach 1,000 career T20 runs.

  • Finn Allen (KKR):  New Zealand opener's maiden IPL century was the defining performance of Match 51 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on 8 May 2026. Coming in as an Impact Sub, Allen turned a potentially tricky chase on a "tacky" Delhi surface into a one-sided blowout.

  •   Shubman Gill (GT): Chasing a mammoth target of 215 in IPL 2026 Qualifier 2, Gill spearheaded the innings with a blistering century that shattered multiple tournament records. Coming in 47 balls, this makes it the fastest century ever recorded in an IPL playoff match. With this innings, Gill became the first player in IPL history to score two centuries in the playoff stages of the tournament. IPL 2026 Full Schedule: Check Complete Indian Premier League 19 Time Table.
