GT Win By 3 Wickets (19 Over Game) | MI vs GT Highlights of IPL 2025: Gerald Coetzee, Rahul Tewatia Take Gujarat Titans to Victory In Rain-Curtailed Encounter

Drama! What a game it has been! The game could be restarted and it was curtailed to 19-over game and the target was revised via DLS to 147. Rahul Tewatia and Gerald Coetzee needed 15 runs off the last over and then they get to the target in the last ball. The over saw a no ball, free hit, wickets and a last ball run out miss. GT are elated to get over the line while MI will be disappointed to miss out. 

Oh! More drama. The restart time arrives. One over is reduced and it is going to be a 19 over game and the revised target is 147. This means Gujarat Titans need 15 runs off the last over. The revised start time is 12:30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST). Stumps are placed. 

A little bit of hope for the Gujarat Titans fans. The new cut off time for a reduced 19-over game is 12:25 AM Indian Standard Time. So there is still fifteen minutes before the game gets officially called off. GT will hope the rain stops and the conditions are suitable enough to restart the game. 

Has to be agonizing for Gujarat Titans. They were ahead in the game when the rain stopped the game first time. Then they started losing wickets and from touching distance away, the rain stopped the play again and this time MI are ahead by DLS. It is still raining and unlikely the game will restart again. 

Oh the cat and mouse game is back. The rain comes down and heavy enough to stop the play. Mumbai Indians are ahead in the game by 7 runs by DLS and Gujarat Titans will be gutted. MI will be elated that Jasprit Bumrah delivered them two wickets and eventually two important points. The MI juggernaut is likely to continue. 

Out! Mumbai Indians keep picking wickets and Gujarat Titans are down to their last reserves now. Yorker from Ashwani Kumar and Rashid Khan, trying his flick shot, gets hits on the backfoot. Umpire initially considered it pitching outside off but Hardik goes for the review and the DRS shows three reds.  Rashid Khan lbw b Ashwani Kumar 2(3).

Out! Jasprit Bumrah is bowling an elite spell here. Gets hit for a boundary in the second ball of the over but comes back straightaway by hitting the stumps of Shahrukh Khan. Hardik Pandya called for a breakthrough and Bumrah has delivered it yet again. GT have a task to finish here. Shahrukh Khan b Bumrah 6(6).

Out! The game is turning on its head. First it was Shubman Gill and now it is Sherfane Rutherford who was turning the game earlier. Trent Boult bowls the in-seamer, beats Rutherford into the inside edge and hits him infront of the wickets. Umpire gives out straightaway. GT are in a tricky situation now. Rutherford lbw b Boult 28(15).

Out! It is the inevitable Jasprit Bumrah. Hardik Pandya had to bring him to the attack and he comes and delivers. Bumrah bowls a in-seaming delivery and the well-set Shubman Gill had his stumps rattled. Bumrah keeps the game wide open with this wicket.  Shubman Gill b Bumrah 43(46).

The rain was short lived and the DLS drama was short lived too. The covers have come off and the umpires are on the pitch, inspecting. The players are also waiting to be on the ground soon. The restart time is 11:20 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) as of now. 

The cat and mouse continues. Jos Buttler got dismissed in a tricky time and GT was falling back of DLS par score. Sherfane Rutherford attacks straightaway and makes a Will Jacks over big. The big over powered GT ahead of DLS par score again and with them 8 run ahead of the DLS, rain has stopped play and the umpires have called covers on. 

Out! Big blow for Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians are back in the game. Jos Buttler goes the aggressive route to Ashwani Kumar. Kumar's delivery kept leaving him and he got an underedge which carried to the wicketkeeper. Umpire first signaled not out but MI opted for DRS and UltraEdge shows spike. It has been a cat and mouse game between the two sides and the rain. GT luckily survived the possibility of the stoppage of play and then Jos Buttler and Shubman Gill went big on a few overs to ger GT ahead of the rate. The rain has started to get heavier again with GT ahead. Meanwhile Corbin Bosch has been subbed because of concussion and Ashwani Kumar replaces him. 

Oh! How the game dynamics have changed. It has started to drizzle but the umpires kept the game on. MI used Jasprit Bumrah to keep GT behind the DLS par score and it worked. Gujarat Titans are behind the DLS par score of 40 after the end of over 6. MI delay further by taking the strategic time out. It is the game of chess now. 

Out! Trent Boult's new ball skills come into play. He has got purchase from the surface and was beating Sai Sudharsan's bat successfully. Gets one to move away enough to take the edge of Sai Sudharsan's bat. Early wicket and MI will fancy their chances. Sai Sudharsan c Rickelton b Boult 5(5).

Not the best of the innings but Corbin Bosch and Deepak Chahar has managed to give a strong finish to Mumbai Indians and took them to a competitive total on the board. Bosch tonked two massive sixes of Prasidh and then Deepak managed to hit a boundary of his last ball. Overall, GT will be the happier side as MI couldn't utilize their strong start and now will have to bowl well. Corbin Bosch run out (Rashid Khan/Buttler) 27(22).

Out! Even the last of the hopes are dwindling for Mumbai Indians. Back of length hit the deck delivery from Prasidh Krishna, Naman Dhir tries to muscle it over the mid-off fielder, but doesn't get any timing the ball gently lobs to the hands of mid-off. Out! Mumbai Indians are collapsing here. It is Tilak Varma who departs now. Gerlad Coetzee bowls seam up full and challenges Tilak Varma to go over the mid-off. Out! Wickets tumble for Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans have come roaring into the game. After Suryakumar Yadav got dismissed, Will Jacks tried to up the ante and followed Suryakumar by sweeping one straight to the hands of the square leg. Hardik Pandya came in and tried to take spin on, only to slice a slog sweep over the slips and Shubman Gill runs back to take a good catch. Out! Finally a breakthrough for Gujarat Titans and a successful catch taken. Suryakumar Yadav was looking for the inside out shots over cover and he tried one more just to miscue it and the long off fielder settles to take a comfortable catch.
