PAK Win By 41 Runs | Pakistan vs UAE Asia Cup 2025 Highlights: Shaheen Shah Afridi, Spinners Help Pakistan Qualify For Super 4's

Last few wickets of UAE came down crashing. A run out and then two desperate dismissals from the tailenders. Pakistan will be happy as it was a clinical job done by the bowlers and specially credits will go to Shaheen Shah Afridi who took Pakistan's score out of the chasable range for UAE. Relief for Pakistan as they qualify for the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4's. 

Out! The last bit of hopes are also fading away for UAE. Rahul Chopra was the last man standing for them but the pressure of the asking rate got to a point that he had to go for the shots and trying it, he got holed out in the deep. In the next over, Shaheen Shah Afridi had Harshit Kaushik nick one behind. Out! Cleaned Up. Asif Khan goes for the wild swing, doesn't pick the googly from the hands of Abrar Ahmed and gets cleaned up. He had to go for the shots with the position UAE are in and he ended up playing all over it. UAE are in deep trouble here.  Asif Khan b Abrar Ahmed 0(4).

Out! Things got to a point where Dhruv Parashar had to swing at everything and he did that to Haris Rauf. Got an outside edge to a lofted shot attempted over cover. The ball stayed in the air long enough for the sweeper cover fielder to run in and take an easy catch in the end. Pakistan are still ahead in the game. Dhruv Parashar c Khushdil b Haris Rauf 20(23).

Rahul Chopra and Dhruv Parashar have looked to not losing wickets in a heap and building their innings step by step. They have played out the four overs after the fall of the third wicket and have consolidated the innings to some extent. The task is still tough for them but they keep trying. 

Out! UAE keep losing early wickets. Saim Ayub is the man this time and he brings out the good ball in a second consecutive game. Gets the ball to skid in from outside off and Muhammad Zohaib tried to negotiate it from the backfoot. Doesn't get his bat down in time and gets his stumps rattled. Pakistan are on top here as they have the upper hand now. Muhammad Zohaib b Saim Ayub 4(9).

Out! Pakistan have got both the big wickets of UAE in the powerplay. First Shaheen Shah Afridi cleans up Alishan Sharafu with a stunning yorker and then Abrar Ahmed foxes Muhammad Waseem into an attacking stroke. The edge was flying over the circle fielder but Mohammad Nawaz tracks back to take a very good catch. UAE in trouble. Muhammad Waseem c Nawaz b Abrar Ahmed 14(15) and Alishan Sharafu b Shaheen Afridi 12(8).

Some solid power hitting from Shaheen Shah Afridi in the death overs and they get 18 runs off the last over. Shaheen got the hold of Muhammad Rohid Khan twice in the first two balls, clearing them for sixes. Then he got a four and made sure the bowlers including himself have a total to bowl at. His cameo bails out Pakistan from a rather poor situation. 

Out! Another great use of slower one from Junaid Siddique and he has been on a roll. Rolls his fingers on the ball keeping it at the stumps. Mohammad Haris went for a ramp shot, but gets beaten by the lack of pace and his stumps are knocked off. Solid bowling from Siddique.  Mohammad Haris b Junaid Siddique 18(14).

Out! Another dismissal for Pakistan and Mohammad Nawaz. They have barely been able to dominate for continuous overs. Slower ball from Junaid Siddique, Nawaz tries to play a lofted shot, gets beaten by the slower one and the ball gets skied. Captain Muhammad Waseem runs back to take a very good catch. Nawaz c Muhammad Waseem b Junaid Siddique 4(5).

Out! Another wicket. Khushdil Shah goes for the wild slog against Simranjeet Singh, trying to break the shackles. In the end, ends up holing out to the deep. Simranjeet Singh is off celebrating and he should be. Some solid bowling from him despite Mohammad Haris hitting him for two boundaries later in the over. Khushdil c Muhammad Waseem b Simranjeet Singh 4(6).

Out! Half the side of Pakistan is now back in the pavilion. Simranjeet Singh gets the ball to skid on with the arm and Hasan Nawaz get hit on the pads in front of the wicket. Pakistan went up for the DRS and replay shows umpires call on hitting. Hasan Nawaz has to depart and Pakistan are in trouble now. Hasan Nawaz lbw b Simranjeet Singh 3(4).

Out! Fakhar Zaman departs. UAE sees the back of the dangerman and they are elated. Zaman was taking the game away from UAE and they finally got his wicket. It is the left arm spinner Simranjeet Singh who gives the breakthrough. Got some extra bounce and Fakhar went for a loft over covers and miscued it straight to the hands of the cover fielder. Fakhar Zaman c Harshit Kaushik b Simranjeet Singh 50(36).

Fifty! Despite the wicket of Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan has not slowed down and Fakhar Zaman has taken his chances to keep powering Pakistan ahead. He has played a great knock till now and along with it he also completes his half-century. 

Fakhar Zaman and Salman Ali Agha has continued their partnership and laid a solid foundation to go for the boundaries and launch an attack on the UAE bowlers. UAE will not want Pakistan to get away from their control. 

After the second wicket, Salman Ali Agha has came out to the crease and along with Fakhar Zaman has stabilised the innings with some good shots freequently which went for boundary. They are consolidating the Pakistan innings and setting a good platform. 

Out! Pakistan in trouble again. Sahibzada Farhan departs in the third over of Junaid Siddique. Back of a length on middle and leg, not short enough for the pull but Farhan goes for it and miscues it off the top-edge. It was a high catch but Muhammad Zohaib grabbed the ball in the second attempt after a first-time fumble. Sahibzada Farhan c Muhammad Zohaib b Junaid Siddique.

Out! Saim Ayub departs again for a duck again! Got to strike, played one ball and then slashed hard at the third ball. It took the outside edge and flew to the hands of the deep third man fielder who stood in his position and took a simple. While Pakistan wanted to boycott this game because of ICC not removing Andy Pycroft from the panel of referees, Pycroft is the one who has been appointed match referee for the Pakistan vs UAE match and he also conducted the toss.
