“Happy birthday Anil bhai @anilkumble1074, wish you a lifetime of health, happiness & success!” said Raina in his birthday wish for Kumble, who retired as India’s highest wicket-taker and only the third player ever to cross 600 wickets in Test matches. Meanwhile, Rohit tweeted, “Anil bhai wish you a great birthday. And best wishes for the new stint.” Kumble also thanked both Rohit and Raina and several others from the sports fraternity, who wished him on this special day. While mentioning “new stint”, Rohit was referring to Kumble’s appointment as the new head coach of Kings XI Punjab following Mike Hesson’s exit from the role. Kumble is till aiming to win his first Indian Premier League (IPL) title as a coach in the franchise Twenty20 cricket tournament.
