WIN! South Africa continues their march in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026, and have won their fifth match in a row. Aiden Markam, Quinton de Kock, and Ryan Rickelton wasted no time chasing 177 as South Africa led from the front, scoring a magnificent 82. 

Captain Aiden Markram is leading from the front for South Africa, scoring a brisk fifty laced with six fours and two sixes. Markram and Ryan Rickelton have already added 33 for the second wicket, and South Africa are moving faster than a bullet train towards the finish line. 

OUT! Roston Chase manages to provide West Indies the much-needed breakthrough, as Quinton de Kock falls for a brisk 47 off 24. De Kock added 95 runs for the first wicket Aiden Markam, and have pushed South Africa's one-foot past the semi-final line, 

End of Powerplay overs and South Africa are off to a solid start with openers Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram putting up a half-century stand.  South Africa's current run rate is worth 11.5 as they need 108 runs in 84 balls.

Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram are the South African openers. And it is Matthew Forde who opens the bowling for West Indies. 11 runs from the first over with Markram hitting a boundary on the very first ball.

Excellent finish this for West Indies. All credit goes to Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd's 89-run stand for the eighth wicket. End of Powerplay overs and South Africa have picked four wickets after giving away 17 runs in the first over. Sherfane Rutherford and Rovman Powell are in with a huge task here as West Indies eye some repair work. The only positive for West Indies is their run rate, it is 8.67 at the moment despite having lost four quick wickets.

OUT! Kagiso Rabada strikes! Big breakthrough for South Africa after two expensive overs. Shai Hope edges it to the wicket-keeper who takes a regulation catch. That one was bowled outside off-stump and was going away. Hope saw the width and attacked the ball only to edge it. S Hope c Quinton de Kock b Kagiso Rabada 16(6)

Marco Jansen with the second over and he concedes 12 runs. Superb start for West Indies as Brandon King picked three boundaries. Some early pressure for South Africa. 

Brandon King and Shai Hope open the innings for West Indies while Keshav Maharaj start proceedings for South Africa. 17 runs from the first over! Couple of sixes and a four from Hope's bat in this over. There was a chance on the last ball but Dewald Brevis after taking a catch fails to put the ball back in the play and crosses the boundary with it.

India will be keenly following this contest and will be rooting for South Africa's win as that will help them before they face West Indies in last game of the Super 8 stage.
