Cristiano Ronaldo had a disastrous time in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as his name crashed out of the mega event after losing to Uruguay in the round of 16. The FIFA World Cup Final 2018 was won by France. Now, just after the mega event got over, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo shifted to Juventus from Real Madrid. The deal is reported to have happened for 100 million euros last week. Ronaldo who went to the Italian club received a warm welcome from the fans and even addressed the press ahead of the season.

CR7’s Juventus teammate Blaise Matuidi who represented the World Cup winning team in an interview said that Ronaldo would be pleased to share the locker room with the World Cup winner. “Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player on the planet, knowing that he will play with us is great news – especially for him as he gets to share a locker room with a world champion!” Matuidi told Gazzetta Dello Sport in an interview.

Matuidi also recalled the time when Portugal beat France in the Euro Cup 2016 by 1-0. It was Eder who scored a goal during the extra time of the match. “Two years ago he managed to beat me in the final in Paris, but it is also true that the World Cup is worth something more than the European Championship! It was a real surprise. I'm happy with what the team has done, getting him to wear a Juventus shirt... we have the strongest team now,” said Blaise Matuidi.
