League Phase Mechanics and Qualification

Clubs finishing between 9th and 24th enter a two-legged knockout play-off round to secure the remaining eight last-16 berths. Teams finishing 25th or lower will be eliminated from European competition entirely, with no drop-down access to the UEFA Europa League. FIFA Hits Back at Allegations Against President Gianni Infantino, Calling Them a ‘Concerted Effort’ to Oust Him.
