Champions of Season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League, Dabang Delhi K.C. will be eager to get their hands on the PKL title once again, after crashing out in the Playoffs stage in the last campaign. Dabang Delhi K.C. have reached the Playoffs in each of the last five PKL seasons, and they will fancy their chances of another appearance in Season 11.

Heavily active at the season 11 Player Auction, the Gujarat Giants signed a total of 15 players as they looked to build a strong squad capable of challenging for the title. With that in mind, it would be only right to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the Gujarat Giants ahead of the tournament.

The Pro Kabaddi League 2024 schedule has been announced the season 11 of the tournament is all set to kickstart in Hyderabad from October 18. A total of 12 teams are all set compete with each other and will be looking to win the trophy.

The Season 7 champions' biggest strength has to be the quality and experience of the raiders and defenders in their squad. The Warriorz ensured they retained their captain Maninder Singh by exercising their Final Bid Match (FBM) card for Rs 1.15 crores. Second on the leaderboard for most raid points in PKL history, Maninder has notched up 1,428 raid points in PKL.

This time around, PKL will be returning to a three-city format, with the 2024 edition commencing at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad from October 18 to November 9. It will then move to the Noida Indoor Stadium for the second leg starting on November 10 till December 1.

With the players' auctions for the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) done and dusted, it is time for the franchises to assemble their resources and gear up for the upcoming Season 11. After a two-day bidding war at the player auction here on August 15 and 16, all 12 franchises now have a revamped squad at their disposal before the commencement of the new campaign.

The Pro Kabaddi League 2024 auction will continue on day 2 in Mumbai from 07:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time). Many big names such as Pawan Sehrawat, Pardeep Narwal and others went under the hammer on day 1.

A total of 20 players were sold to the 12 franchise teams with as many as three Final Bid Match (FBM) cards being used on Day 1. Bengal Warriorz, Telugu Titans and Gujarat Giants utilised the FBM card for Maninder Singh, Pawan Sehrawat and Sombir respectively.

Sachin became the costliest Indian player on the first day of the auction in Category A as he was roped in by Tamil Thalaivas for Rs 2.15 crore, while all-rounder Shadloui was bought by Haryana Steelers for Rs 2.07 crore.

After the ceremony, Pardeep and Maninder, who are among the most loved kabaddi players in the country, had a fun session with the school's kabaddi team. Following this, the two legends of the sport, on behalf of the Pro Kabaddi League presented the Mumbai Public School with gifts and a token of appreciation.

The Pro Kabaddi League 2024 auction is all set to kickstart in Mumbai on August 15 and 16 from 07:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time). Big names such as Fazel Atrachali, Pawan Sehrawat, Naveen Kumar, Maninder Singh and many more players are all set to go under the hammer.

With an aim to promote the kabaddi on a global level, the first-ever Global Women's Kabaddi League is slated to take place in September 2024.

The Kolkata based franchise has previously won the PKL title in 2019, which was season 7 of the tournament, and have qualified for the Playoffs on four occasions in the last decade. In Season 10, the Warriors narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Playoffs as they finished 7th, and kept the race for the knockout stages alive up until the final rounds of the league stage.

Three-time champions Patna Pirates were in good form this season as they reached the semi-finals, and Krishan was an important reason for that form. His 78 tackle points were the second-best in the league, earning them with 73 successful tackles. Krishan also recorded 6 High 5s in the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League.

The Puneri Paltan will have their full contingent of players when they take the mat for a second straight final. It will be another chance to win their first PKL trophy. Along with the strong performance of their skipper Aslam Inamdar, the whole team has contributed to their success in Season 10.

The Pink Panthers rallied in the second half, buoyed by Deshwal's ability to keep bringing back points from his raids. Their weak link though was a defence that was unable to stop the Steelers raiders from doing the same. Through the first half hour of the game the Pink Panthers defence managed a mere three tackle points.

Sachin was the pick of the raiders for the Patna Pirates once again but on the other side of the mat, an all-round performance from the Puneri Paltan slightly kept them ahead of their opponents, as they eventually began to get a hold of the game.

The Giants knew that as long as they could keep their heads they would stay in the game and soon enough they turned the tables on the Steelers. A Super Raid by Parteek Dahiya to take out Mohit Nandal, Jaideep Dahiya and Rahul Sethpal cascaded into an All-Out for the Giants who hadn't just fought back but also taken a one-point lead.
