Launched in 2022, the Yuva Kabaddi Series has been providing a highly competitive environment for the country's budding Kabaddi stars, as eight of the 12 players in India's recent Junior Kabaddi World Cup success have progressed through the Yuva Kabaddi Series programme.

With a strong group of players retained, each of the franchises are all set to build their units further in the upcoming Player Auction and celebrate the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League through high-octane contests.

Over the last nine seasons of Pro Kabaddi League, many players have gone on to become role models and Anup Kumar is one such name, who has become a household name.

Real Kabaddi Season 2 witnessed 32 matches played amongst eight teams - Jaipur Jaguars, Shekhawati Kings, Chambal Pirates, Mewar Monks, Bikana Riders, Jodhana Warriors, Arawali Eagles and Singh Soorma.

The player auction for the PKL Season 10 will undoubtedly be a contentious affair. There will be competitive bidding for the best players as teams attempt to assemble their rosters for the next season. Mumbai will host the auction on September 8 and 9, 2023. Kabaddi's biggest names will be auctioned off at the auction, including more than 500 players.n According to league rules, the PKL teams also have the option of keeping players from their own PKL Season 9 squads. Each PKL season, the franchises are permitted to retain up to six players who fall under the categorization of Elite Retained Players. Throughout the two-day auction procedure in Mumbai, the players from the pool of more than 500 players who weren't kept by the teams will be put up for bid.

The auction of players for the upcoming 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League will take place on 8th and 9th September 2023.

This was India's eighth title in nine editions. Indian captain Pawan Sehrawat led from the front with a super 10. Earlier in the day, India had beaten Hong Kong 64-20 to end the league stage of the tournament undefeated. (ANI)

Aslam Inamdar, who made an impressive debut against Korea on Tuesday, got his second super 10 of the tournament and was once again the top-scorer in the match. Parvesh Bhainswal led India's charge in defence.

The proposed professional league for women will draw upon Mashal Sports' experience and learnings from the Women's Kabaddi Challenge, a three-team test tournament that Mashal had organised and conducted with the support and sanction of AKFI in 2016. The league is likely to be called the Women's Kabaddi League.

Arjun Deshwal was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9. Ankush won Best Defender award. Tamil Thalaivas' Narender won the New Young Player of Season 9 award.

Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and their daughter Aaradhya had attended the Pro Kabaddi League final match, where their team Jaipur Pink Panthers won the title.

The JSW Sports-owned Steelers used the occasion to spread awareness about Haryana Government and Police's initiatives to curb domestic violence faced by women in the state. The players sported the number 1091 on the front of their jerseys, which is the helpline set up by the Haryana Government and Police exclusively for women to report domestic violence.

The 2022 Vivo Pro Kabaddi will be the ninth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League and the matches will be played across Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad. The league has been underway since October 07, and a total of 12 teams are participating in the competition.

Previous season after getting knocked out in the semi-finals Bengaluru Bulls will be highly motivated to aim further and will try to win the championship for the second time.

Among the 12 teams participating in the competition, Bengal Warriors are one of them and they will be playing their ninth season of the League. The Bengal side has conquered the competition once in 2019, after beating Dabang Delhi in the finals.
