The mobile game Pokémon Sleep GO got people going crazy to capture all Pokemon with them. The company recently announced they would turn the activity of sleeping into entertainment, with the sleep loving Pokémon Sleep Snorlax. Like Pokémon GO got people to walk around in hunt of catching the characters, the new application Pokémon Sleep has Snorlax sleeping and designed in a way to monitor sleep patterns. This application was unveiled on May 28 along with few other games. And to get the audience ready, the Pokémon GO players will see Snorlax sleeping at various spots. This event will go on till June 3. Snorlax is known to be a heavy napper and can sleep anywhere. The other announcements made at the Tokyo centre are Pokémon Home, Pokémon Sleep, and Pokémon Masters. The Pokemon Sleep app will track a player's sleep data and use it within the game. It promises "a gameplay experience unlike any other". As the parent company mentioned, "Pokémon Sleep aims to turn sleep into entertainment by having a player’s time spent sleeping, and the time they wake up, affect the gameplay." They want to promote healthy sleeping habit as a reward. So people seemed to be enjoying Snorlax appearing on their app. The application Pokémon Sleep is set for release in 2020 and will work with a device Nintendo is calling the Pokemon Go Plus Plus. It will have an embedded accelerometer to track a user’s time sleeping and send this information to their smartphone via Bluetooth.
