Budget 2022: FM Nirmala Sitharaman Says E-Passports Using Embedded Chips Will Be Rolled Out In 2022-23 I Highlights

The Union Budget 2022 was presented on February 1 by the Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman. She announced that e-passports would be rolled out from next year. The Finance Minister said that e-passports will use embedded chips and futuristic technology. FM Nirmala Sitharaman said the spectrum auction for 5G roll out will be conducted in FY23. She announced Defence Research and Development (R&D) will be opened up to industry, startups, and academia.
