Did India Post Send SMS Asking People To Update Address Within 48 Hours To Avoid Package Being Returned? PIB Debunks Fake Message

A message is going viral claiming that India Post sent SMS alerts to people saying: “Your package has arrived at the warehouse, we attempted delivery twice, please update your address within 48 hours or your parcel will be returned.” The message included a suspicious link as well. However, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check unit has clarified that this message is completely fake. PIB stated that India Post never sends such SMS or asks people to update their address.
