Gujarat Titans defeated Mumbai Indians by 36 runs in IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on March 29. Batting first, Gujarat Titans tactically paced their innings to get to 196/8. Sai Sudharsan (63 off 41) scored a half-century. Shubman Gill (38) and Jos Buttler (39) also contributed. Hardik Pandya was the best bowler for Mumbai Indians, picking up two wickets (2/29) which included dismissing Shubman Gill and Shahrukh Khan. Veteran Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Satyanarayana Raju and Mujeeb Ur Rahman shared one wicket each. In response, Mumbai Indians could only score 160/6. Suryakumar Yadav (48 off 28) and Tilak Varma (39 off 36) were the only ones who could put up a resistance as Gujarat Titans comfortably won the match by 36 runs. Prasidh Krishna (2/18) was the pick of the Gujarat Titans bowlers as his cutters seemed unplayable for the Mumbai Indians batters. He received good support from Mohammed Siraj (2/34) who dismissed the Mumbai Indians openers. This was Gujarat Titans' first win of the season and their first at home after losing the last match against Punjab Kings.
