Liquor Lovers Brave Hailstorm As Long Queues Seen Outside Booze Outlets In Nainital, Uttarakhand

Liquor lovers braved the hailstorm and heavy rains to buy their bottle of booze in Nainital, Uttarakhand. People were seen standing in long queues with umbrellas in Nainital’s Mall Road. They, however, followed social distancing as directed by the government by maintaining at least a metre's distance while standing in queue. People were also seen wearing masks as directed by the health ministry. Not more than two people at a time were attended to at the liquor outlet. Liquor shops reopened across the nation after over a month on May 4. The nationwide lockdown which was supposed to end on May 4 has been extended till May 17. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Uttarakhand has reached 61 with one death being reported. The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 49391 with 1694 deaths.
