Netizens flooded social media with photos and videos and claimed that the Bihar Sharif Clock Tower was built at a cost of INR 40 lakh. They also alleged that the clock tower in Bihar Sharif stopped working within 24 hours of its inauguration. Reacting to the same, the Biharsharif Smart City Limited issued clarification and busted the rumour about the clock tower being constructed at a cost of INR 40 lakh. The authority also clarified that the design of the clock tower has not been finalised and further said that its construction work has also not been completed.
