Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs to win the IPL 2025 title at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. This was the first IPL title won by RCB, with the franchise ending an 18-year wait. PBKS, on the other hand, will have to wait further to have their hands on the silverware. Batting first, RCB scored 190/9. Virat Kohli was RCB's top scorer of the match with 43 runs off 35 balls. Mayank Agarwal (24), Rajat Patidar (26), Liam Livingstone (25) and Jitesh Sharma (24) also came up with important contributions. Kyle Jamieson (3/48) and Arshdeep Singh (3/40) were the best bowlers for Punjab Kings. In response, Punjab Kings were restricted to 184/7. Shashank Singh fought hard with 61* off 30 balls while Josh Inglis (39), Prabhsimran Singh (26) and Priyansh Arya (24) were also amongst the runs. Krunal Pandya was RCB's best bowler as he scalped two wickets for 17 runs in his four overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also took two wickets (2/38). Krunal Pandya was named Player of the Match.
