The Supreme Court on Wednesday, May 15, ordered the release of NewsClick founder and Editor-in-Chief Prabir Purkayastha, declaring his arrest and subsequent remand as "invalid". The Delhi Police arrested Purkayastha under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
