British National Held with Two Passports at IGI Airport

A British national has been nabbed by CISF surveillance and intelligence staff at the Delhi airport for allegedly possessing two passports in violation of rules, officials said on Thursday.

New Delhi [India], Feb 14 (ANI): A British national has been nabbed by CISF surveillance and intelligence staff at the Delhi airport for allegedly possessing two passports in violation of rules, officials said on Thursday.The man bound for Toronto by Air Canada flight on Wednesday, has been identified as M B Esmati.CISF officials intercepted Esmati at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after his activities were found to be suspicious. Following an investigation, the CISF officials recovered two passports from him, one of United Kingdom and another of Afghanistan.Subsequently, his employee ID card, driving license of UK along with two boarding passes of Gulf Air flight from Delhi to Bahrain were recovered."The passenger was carrying dual passports of different destinations and tried to check-in for two different flights of different destination, he was handed over to Delhi Police for further legal action in the matter," CISF officials said.An FIR has been lodged in the matter under relevant sections of the IPC.
