Demi Lovato's Ex-boyfriend Shocked over Her Drug Overdose

Washington DC, [USA]: Hollywood singer Demi Lovato's ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama was taken aback after he came to know that the singer had an apparent drug overdose on Tuesday morning.

The 25-year-old singer was found unconscious at her home in Hollywood Hills, after which she was rushed to the hospital.

Lovato's actor former boyfriend was 'shocked' to hear the same.

People close to Valderrama said, "He knew she was going through a tough time but he wasn't prepared for this".

"He saw her through so many ups and downs and was her rock through some of her darkest moments. To see her back in such a sad and vulnerable place is heartbreaking for him," they further added.

The duo broke up in June 2016 after six years of dating.

It should be noted that Lovato has been struggling with substance abuse for years and gave fans a sneak peek into her life when she talked about her struggles with addiction in the documentary- 'Simply Complicated'.

Meanwhile, the American singer's upcoming concert in Atlantic City has been cancelled in the wake of her hospitalisation, according to Variety magazine. (ANI)
