New Delhi, Mar 31 (PTI) A fire broke out in a dumping yard in East Delhi's Ghazipur area Sunday, fire officials said.

According to the Fire Department, they received a call at around 3.45 PM and five fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

The fire was doused successfully at around 8.30 PM and no casualty was reported, they said.

The fire took place due to generation of methane gas, but spread because it was very windy, said a senior East Delhi Municipal Corporation official.
