Illegal Hostel for Schoolgirls Closed Down
A private hostel being run illegally for schoolgirls were closed down by the East Singhbhum district administration.
Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Dec 7 (PTI) A private hostel being run illegally for schoolgirls were closed down by the East Singhbhum district administration.
The district Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar ordered to close the private Sukanya Hostel situated in Parsudih area with immediate effect, an official release said.
The hostel attached to a school came into the news last month after a relative of its operator tried to rape an inmate who was a minor. The accused was arrested.
Kumar also directed police to probe whether the operator was also involved in the incident.
Taking cognizance of the incident, the administration has ordered an investigation which revealed that the hostel was being run without any valid document.
