Ahmedabad, Dec 25 (PTI) The daily addition of COVID-19 cases in Ahmedabad dipped below the 200 mark as 191 people were detected with the infection in the last 24 hours, an official said on Friday.

The district's caseload now stands at 56,603, while the discharge of 199 people took the recovery count to 51,406, he informed.

Three deaths during the day took the toll to 2,229, the official said.

"Of the new cases, the highest for any district in the state, 184 were from the city, which also accounted for 191 of the people discharged," he added.
