Amaravati, Nov 28 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board on Monday issued a notification for recruitment of 411 sub-inspectors and 6,100 constables.

Applications for the constable posts will be accepted online from November 30 and for SI posts from December 14, according to state Director General of Police K V Rajendranath Reddy.

Of the 411 SI vacancies that have been notified, 315 are civil and the rest in AP Special Police (only men).

The department will recruit 3,580 civil and 2,520 constables (men) in APSP in the current drive.

The DGP said 33.3 per cent reservation would be provided for women in all categories in the civil category.

Selection of SIs would be based on a preliminary written test and physical efficiency and measurement tests. The candidates would also have to undergo a final written examination.

Reservation for Home Guards in the recruitment of constables has been enhanced from eight to 15 per cent (civil) and 25 per cent (APSP).
