Guwahati (Assam) [India], June 25 (ANI): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between National Law University and the Judicial Academy, and Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre during a programme in Guwahati on Monday to impart capacity-building training to revenue officials of the state.
The MoU was signed at the Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre in Guwahati .Jogen Mohan, Assam Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management and Vice Chancellor of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam were also present on the occasion.
The Assam Minister said that, under the leadership of Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, we are committed to ensuring the protection of the indigenous people of the state.
"Today is a historic day. The capacity building training programme for the officers will be started soon. This MoU will help the state Revenue department," Jogen Mohan said.
On the other hand, talking about the flood situation in the state, the Assam Minister said that, the current flood situation in the state is under control and there is a flood in 9-10 districts.
"We have provided relief materials to the flood affected people. We have also provided compensation to the people through DBT. We will provide the amount of damage in flood to 3 lakh people within a short time," Jogen Mohan said. (ANI)
