Tarn Taran (Punjab) [India], October 19 (ANI): In a joint operation with Punjab Police, the Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered a China-made quadcopter drone in broken condition from a farming field near Mastgarh village in Tarn Taran district, a senior officer said.
The senior BSF officer informed that forward deployed BSF troops intercepted the movement of drone during night hours on Wednesday near the Mastgarh village.
Further, on Thursday, a search Operation with Punjab Police was carried out near the border fence, during which at about 10:45 am, BSF troops recovered the drone in broken condition, he said.
The recovered drone is a China made quadcopter (Model - DJI Matrice 300 RTK), the officer said.
"Another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics via drone foiled by coordinated and joint efforts of BSF and Punjab Police," he informed.
Earlier, the BSF recovered a Pakistani drone from a paddy field near the India-Pakistan border in Ferozepur district.
A search operation was launched on the outskirts of the Chak Bhange Wala village near the Ferozepur border on Saturday during which the drone was recovered from the paddy field. (ANI)
