New Delhi [India], October 2 (ANI): A 26-year-old woman constable of the Delhi Police allegedly died by suicide at her rented apartment in the Mehrauli area in the national capital, police said on Monday.

The incident was reported to police on Monday morning.

"A PCR call regarding suicide by one lady was received early morning. It was found that one female hailing from Mizoram aged 26 years who was posted as constable at PS Kishangarh was residing in a house at ward No 2 Mehrauli as a tenant. She died by suicide by hanging in her rented premises in the night," police said. 

An investigation to look into the cause of the suicide has been launched, police officials added (ANI)
