Kolhapur (Maharashtra) [India], August 9 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at the Keshavrao Bhosale Theatre in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, on Thursday night, destroying property worth several crores of rupees, officials said.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred around 9.00 pm.

Upon receiving information, firefighters rushed to the spot and started efforts to bring the fire under control.

Visuals from the site showed flames engulfing the building.

"The fire-dousing operations are still ongoing," said Rajesh Vinayakrao Kshirsagar, a Shiv Sena leader who arrived at the scene.

"Property worth crores of rupees has been destroyed in the fire," he added.
