Bhopal, Jul 5 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh on Monday recorded 32 fresh COVID-19 cases and six fatalities, taking the tally of infections to 7,90,015 and the toll to 9,015, the state health department said.

A total of 39 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, raising the count of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh so far to 7,80,534, leaving the state with 466 active cases, the department said.

With six cases during the day, the caseload in Indore reached 1,52,884. Bhopal reported seven fresh cases, which raised the overall tally to 1,23,176, it said.

The death toll in Indore and Bhopal remained unchanged at 1,391 and 972, respectively, with no fresh death being reported during the day.

Indore and Bhopal are now left with 88 and 96 active cases, respectively, the department said.

Of the total 52 districts in Madhya Pradesh, 38 districts did not record a single new case in the last 24 hours, it said.

With 66,923 new tests, the total number of samples tested for coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh so far crossed 1.24 crore.

Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows: Total cases 7,90,015, new cases 32, deaths 9,015, recovered 7,80,534, active cases 466, number of tests so far 1,24,40,059.
