Gurugram, Nov 28 (PTI) Shopkeepers at Raheja Mall here staged a protest against the builder over the disconnection of electricity supply to the complex due to an outstanding bill of Rs 82 lakh.
The mall has been without power supply for the past 15 days.
Mall operators and shopkeepers blamed each other for the outstanding electricity bill.
One of the protesters said, "The builder is charging very high maintenance charges without providing proper facilities. On October 31, the electricity of the mall had been disconnected for about a week. The connection was restored after partial payment was made, but it has been cut again for the last 15 days. The builder has an outstanding electricity bill of Rs 82 lakh."
When contacted, Ashok Kumar, facility head of Raheja Mall on Sohna Road, said the due was because of irregular payments by shopkeepers.
"With a partial payment of Rs 10 lakh, the electricity connection was restored but the shopkeepers did not deposit their maintenance charges on time," he added.
