Kolkata, Feb 22 (PTI) West Bengal's COVID-19 tally rose to 5,73,910 as 148 more people tested positive for the virus, while two new fatalities pushed the death toll to 10,251 on Monday, a health department bulletin said.
One death each was reported in North 24 Parganas and Paschim Bardhaman district and both were due to the comorbidities where COVID-19 was incidental, it said.
In the last 24 hours, 231 people recovered from COVID-19 taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 5,60,219.
The state currently has 3,440 active COVID-19 cases.
The total number of samples tested for COVID-19 so far is 84,44,507, including 15,112 on Sunday, it said.
Meanwhile, a total of 55,179 people were on Monday inoculated at over 800 sites in West Bengal, a health department official said, adding that there was no case of AEFI reported from anywhere in the state.
At least 16,142 people were administered the second dose of the Covishield on Monday, he said.
So far, at least 7.41 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state in the last 31 days, he added.
