Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Sep 07 (ANI): A day after being appointed as the new Deputy General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbagh Singh on Friday met governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan.

While discussing issues pertaining to law and order that presents a stern challenge to the state police, Singh also briefed the governor about the present internal security situation.

While stressing on the housing needs of the police and their family members, the Governor also held a discussion with the DGP on other issues relating to the welfare of the police in the valley.

Dilbagh Singh, who was appointed as the new DGP by the Jammu and Kashmir government, replaced SP Vaid who has been posted as the new Transport Commissioner of the state. (ANI)
