Nagpur: Western Coalfields has created a new record in production and despatch the first day of 2019 by loading 36 rakes in a day which is the highest ever.
The state-run miner despatched a record 1,83,000 tonne to its consumers and produced 2,04,000 tonne of coal, both record, the company said in a statement Wednesday.
Its previous record was 1,75,000 tonne despatch on March 24, 2018, while on the production side it had crossed the 2 lakh tone in February 2018. Its highest ever rake despatch was 32 rakes in a day in March, 2018.
