Stockholm, May 3 (AFP) Scandinavian airline SAS said Thursday it had reached an agreement with the pilots' union, ending a weeklong strike which has seen over 4,000 flights cancelled and affected over 380,000 passengers.

"I'm relieved to inform our customers and employees that we can now put this conflict behind us," SAS CEO Rickard Gustafson said at a news conference in Stockholm on Thursday evening.

Gustafson added that a new collective bargaining agreement covering the next three years had been signed by the company and the unions representing the pilots.
