SPAIN

Sevilla will try to rebound from an opening loss to Osasuna in the Spanish league when it hosts Valladolid. Julen Lopetegui's team was dealt a blow when Jesús “Tecatito” Corona sustained a serious injury on Thursday.

Lyon has only played one league game so far as its away match against Lorient in the second round was postponed because of the state of the pitch. It won its opener against Ajaccio 2-1, while Troyes lost both its games so far.

GERMANY

Borussia Mönchengladbach hopes to extend its six-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga when its hosts Hertha Berlin for the opening game of the third round.

Gladbach conceded late to draw with Schalke 2-2 last weekend, while Hertha was held at home 1-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt despite an encouraging performance.
