Mumbai, March 17: Audi India has officially launched the Audi SQ8 in the country, further diversifying its flagship Q8 family. This new performance-oriented SUV is positioned as a strategic bridge within the line-up, sitting between the standard Q8 and the range-topping RS Q8. The SQ8 introduces a more aggressive aesthetic compared to the base model, featuring a coupe SUV silhouette complemented by sportier styling cues, silver body detailing and a prominent single-frame grille with a revised insert pattern.
The launch marks a significant upgrade in the brand's luxury performance segment, offering a substantial power increase over the standard V6 variant. The SQ8 features a sophisticated exterior package including high-definition LED headlamps, larger air intakes and a rear bumper integrated with quad exhaust outlets. The Audi SQ8 has been introduced at an introductory price of INR 1.78 crore (ex-showroom). This pricing puts it at a premium of INR 65 lakh over the standard Audi Q8, which is priced at INR 1.13 crore. Conversely, it remains INR 56 lakh more accessible than the high-performance Audi RS Q8, which currently retails at INR 2.34 crore.

The Audi SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that generates 507 bhp and is mated to an automatic transmission. The vehicle comes standard with 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, S-specific branding on the fenders and a full-width LED light bar at the rear.
