Diljit Dosanjh Continues Performance After Pro-Khalistan Protester Attempts To Disrupt San Francisco Concert (Video)
A pro-Khalistan protester was arrested after rushing the stage with a flag during Diljit Dosanjh's Aura World Tour concert at San Francisco's Chase Center. The singer distanced himself, and security removed the intruder. The incident follows boycott calls by the group SFJ after Dosanjh appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati in late 2025.
A pro-Khalistan protester was arrested after breaching security and storming the stage during Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s live concert at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The incident took place during the final leg of Dosanjh’s global Aura World Tour 2026. Despite the sudden stage intrusion, the artist moved away from the demonstrator and refused to pause his performance while private security and local police intervened.
Security Breach Captured on Video
Footage of the incident, which has circulated widely on social media, shows Dosanjh performing a dance routine when an unidentified man holding a Khalistan flag suddenly jumped onto the stage. Dosanjh immediately ceased dancing and distanced himself from the intruder. Venue security personnel intercepted the individual seconds later, removing him from the performance area. Additional video recordings captured outside the stage area showed local law enforcement officers taking the individual into custody.
Backlash Over Television Appearance
The disruption comes amid ongoing friction between Dosanjh and hardline factions, specifically the banned group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). The group initiated boycott calls and issued threats to disrupt Dosanjh's North American tour dates after the singer appeared as a guest on Amitabh Bachchan’s quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, in late 2025. During the broadcast, Dosanjh touched Bachchan's feet as a sign of respect - a gesture heavily criticised by pro-Khalistan activists due to long-standing allegations from sections of the Sikh community regarding Bachchan’s purported role during the 1984 anti-Sikh violence. Bachchan has repeatedly denied those claims. Dosanjh stated his appearance on the show was intended to advocate for flood relief efforts in Punjab.

Repeated Tour Disruptions
The San Francisco incident marks the latest in a series of targeted demonstrations against the artist during his international tour. In May 2026, a group of activists raised slogans and waved separatist flags inside a venue during his concert in Calgary, Canada. In that instance, Dosanjh temporarily halted the show to address the crowd and instructed security to remove the agitators. Following the Canadian disruptions, Dosanjh addressed the political demonstrations via his social media accounts, clarifying that while peaceful external protests are permissible, disruptions within the arena would be met with removal. ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ BTS Video: Diljit Dosanjh Touches Veteran Actor Naseeruddin Shah’s Feet, Internet Reacts.
“Standing outside and protesting - anyone can do that," Dosanjh wrote in Punjabi on Instagram Stories. "But if you try to come inside and harass my fans, that will not be tolerated. If someone brings a banner or a flag, it usually means they want to show where they've come from and that they support me. But if you're standing outside with the same banner abusing my fans, and then try to come inside and do the same thing, that will not be tolerated.”
