What did Sivaji Say About Women’s Dressing
During the pre-release event of the upcoming film Dhandoraa on Monday (December 22), actor Sivaji made distasteful remarks regarding women's dressing sense. He allegedly made use of derogatory slurs like "daridrapu munda" and said that women needed to cover their "samaan". He also praised the anchor Sravanthi Chokkarapu and praised her dressing sense.
He said, "I request all heroines not to wear revealing outfits. Please wear sarees or dresses that cover the body fully. Beauty lies in the saree or the outfit and not in displaying the body." He added, "A woman is like nature. We respect nature when it's beautiful. A woman is like my mother, whom I hold close to my heart."

After a video of Sivaji's eyebrow-raising moment surfaced online, Chinmayi Sripada shared her reaction to it and condemned the actor's use of derogatory terms and called him out for the uninvited advice. Sharing a video of his speech, the singer wrote, "Telugu Actor Sivaji doles out unnecessary advice to Actresses using slurs like ‘Daridrapu Munda’ saying they need to wear Saris to cover their ‘Saamaan’ - a word incels use. Actor Shivaji played a villain in a fantastic film and end up becoming the hero for incel boys. The point is - these are professional spaces where Shivaji is using words like ‘Daridrapu Munda’."
Sripada added, "He himself wears Jeans and Hoodie. He should wear only Dhotis and follow Indian culture. Wear bottu, and if he is married, wear the Kankanam and Mettelu to signify he is married. Unbelievable how women are treated here.
